Initial Basic Training (IBT) — AM, A1, A2 and A
Every new motorcyclist in Ireland must complete an RSA-approved Initial Basic Training course before riding on public roads. Mick delivers IBT one-to-one — never in a group — so the pace stays with you.
Training is calm, structured and covers the four RSA modules from bike controls through to full on-road riding. Sessions are delivered locally across Offaly, Laois and Tipperary.

- Do I need my own bike?
- No. School bikes are available for AM, A1, A2 and A categories so you can start training without owning a bike.
- What gear do I need?
- An approved motorcycle helmet, a motorcycle jacket, gloves, protective trousers and sturdy boots. Mick will discuss your gear with you when arranging the training and make sure what you have is suitable.
